How we rank
Methodology — what makes a top pilates studio
Our ranking is built on four signals, weighted to surface consistently strong studios — not flash-in-the-pan reviews. We exclude any studio with fewer than 5 verified reviews to avoid statistical noise. The weighting algorithm (Bayesian average) favours studios with both high ratings and deep review history. We do not accept payment for ranking.
40%Rating + review depth
Bayesian-weighted average rating. A 5.0★ studio with 10 reviews ranks below a 4.7★ studio with 200 reviews.
25%Service breadth
Studios offering reformer, mat, clinical and prenatal disciplines indicate qualified instructor depth.
20%Quality tier
High = ≥4.5★ + ≥20 reviews. Only high-tier studios are eligible for the top 5 slots.
15%Member feedback themes
Real review text analysed for instructor quality, cleanliness, atmosphere and results signals.

What this list isn't
- Editorial ranking — not for sale.Positions on this page are ranked from public rating and review data only. Studios can pay for a featured position elsewhere on the site; those are always labelled "Featured" and never appear in this list.
- Not exhaustive. 593 London studios are in our directory; this list surfaces the 12with the strongest verified track record. Newer studios with limited reviews may be excellent — they just haven't built the verification depth yet.
- Not personalised."Best" depends on your goal, body, area and budget. The right studio for back-pain rehab is different from the right studio for postnatal recovery. For a tailored recommendation, use our matching service below.
- Reviewed regularly. Rankings refresh as new reviews are submitted on Google. We re-score quarterly.
