Terms of Use
Last updated: 11 August 2026 · Governed by the laws of England and Wales
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Pilates Studios UK ("the Service"), operated by Pilates Studios UK. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. About our service
Pilates Studios UK is an independent directory of UK pilates studios. We list verified studios with publicly available information sourced primarily from Google's Places API. We are not a booking platform — we connect users with studios but do not process bookings or payments directly.
2. Information accuracy
We make reasonable efforts to ensure studio information (addresses, opening hours, prices, ratings) is accurate. However, this information can change without notice and is provided for informational purposes only. We recommend confirming critical details (current prices, schedules, instructor availability) directly with the studio before visiting.
If you spot inaccurate information, please report it via our contact form and we will look into it as quickly as we can. Requests about your own data, or about a studio you run, are answered within one calendar month at the latest, as UK GDPR requires.
3. Medical disclaimer (YMYL content)
Content on this site does not constitute medical, physiotherapy, or rehabilitation advice.
Pilates content — particularly relating to clinical pilates, prenatal pilates, back pain, scoliosis, or post-surgery rehabilitation — is provided for general educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional (GP, physiotherapist, midwife, or HCPC-registered practitioner).
Always consult your GP or a Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) registered physiotherapist before starting any new exercise programme, particularly if you have:
- · Acute injury or post-surgery recovery
- · Chronic back pain, disc problems, or scoliosis
- · Pregnancy (always seek midwife/GP clearance for prenatal exercise)
- · Cardiovascular conditions, uncontrolled diabetes, or other medical considerations
4. Studio listings and reviews
Studio reviews displayed on our site are sourced from Google's verified Places API, with proper author attribution. We do not edit or fabricate reviews. Negative reviews are displayed alongside positive ones — we do not filter for promotional purposes.
We are not responsible for the conduct, services, or outcomes of any listed studio. Bookings, payments, refunds, and disputes are between you and the studio directly.
For studio owners
Listings are compiled from public business information published through the Google Places API. We do not contact studios before listing them. A listing is free, and it does not mean the studio has signed up to anything, endorses this site, or is affiliated with us in any way.
Service labels on a listing — such as "reformer" or "mat" — are our own inference from the public listing and from review text. They are not a statement made by the studio, and they may be wrong.
If you run a listed studio you can ask us to correct anything inaccurate, or to remove the listing entirely. You do not need to give a reason for removal and we will not ask you to justify it. Use the contact form and choose the studio-listing option. Your rights over this information are set out in our Privacy Policy.
5. Recommendation form
When you submit our studio recommendation form, you authorise us to:
- · Process your contact details and preferences as outlined in our Privacy Policy
- · Suggest UK pilates studios that fit what you have told us
- · Contact you by phone or email to give you those suggestions
Your enquiry is not passed on to studios. It comes to us and we reply to you. No studio receives your details unless you ask us to introduce you to one.
You can withdraw consent at any time via our contact form. Studios are independent businesses; their booking, cancellation and refund policies apply to any sessions you book with them.
6. Intellectual property
All content on Pilates Studios UK (excluding studio-supplied content and Google review text, which remains the property of the original authors) is owned by Pilates Studios UK and protected under UK and international copyright law. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or commercially use our content without written permission.
Studio logos, names and brand identities remain the property of the respective studios.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- · Scrape, copy, or systematically extract data from our directory
- · Submit false, misleading, or malicious information through our forms
- · Attempt to access restricted areas, security systems, or admin functions
- · Use the service for spam, phishing, or any unlawful purpose
- · Reverse-engineer or interfere with our systems
8. Affiliate disclosure
We earn affiliate commissions when users book through certain partners (including Mindbody). Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial rankings or quality tier classifications. We display "Sponsored" labels on any premium studio listings.
9. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Nor do these terms affect your statutory rights.
If you are a consumer
We are liable for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for loss that was not foreseeable. We do not cap that liability at a fixed sum, because a blanket cap would not be fair to you and would not be enforceable under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
We do not provide pilates instruction and we do not vet studios beyond publishing information about them. Your arrangement with any studio is between you and that studio, and we are not a party to it. That means we are not responsible for the quality or safety of a class, for injury sustained at a studio, or for a studio's prices, cancellations or conduct. If something goes wrong with a class, your rights are against the studio.
If you are a business
If you use the Service in the course of a business, we exclude all implied terms to the extent permitted by law, and we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of anticipated savings. Subject to the paragraph at the top of this section, our total liability to a business user in connection with the Service is limited to £100.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated via a notice on our home page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
