The Farm Pilates was recommended to me following a course of physio treatment, I had never been to a Pilates class before so wasn’t really sure what to expect or if I’d even enjoy it but with nothing to loose I booked a class and went along. Cat was so friendly and encouraging when I arrived, I soon got familiar with the equipment and five months later I’m absolutely hooked. I love the classes and each one is different. With Cat’s guidance and support I definitely feel I have progressed. The Farm is a little escape from the daily grind and I always look forward to class. Thanks Cat!
What an amazing space!! I have been attending weekly classes at The Farm Pilates for the past nine months. Cat has worked with me to built strength, flexibility, balance and core stability. I really enjoy using the reformer equipment to exercise as it provides a full body workout. The classes fly past as Cat has never delivered the same class twice. Each class works through a variety of exercises which keeps it fresh and definitely doesn’t ever become a chore to attend. I can really see the benefits of the past nine months with regard to my strength and tone. I would highly recommend this form of exercise to anyone. Thank you Cat 👏🏻
The Farm Pilates offers 2 pilates disciplines. Each one is suited to different goals — read the breakdown below to see which fits.
Reformer pilates is performed on a specialised piece of equipment using adjustable spring resistance. It targets deeper stabilising muscles than mat-based pilates and is widely used for posture correction, core strength, injury rehabilitation and pre/postnatal training.
Mat pilates uses your bodyweight on a padded mat, often with small props like resistance bands, blocks and pilates balls. It's the most accessible form of pilates — no heavy equipment, lower price points, and easier to continue at home.

Honest, specific answers about this studio.
one of the 3 recent reviews mention the instructors in positive terms — words such as "knowledgeable", "attentive" and "encouraging" recur most frequently. Members citing specific cues, form corrections or named instructors is a strong sign of relationship-led teaching rather than transactional class delivery. If instructor depth matters for your decision (particularly for clinical or prenatal-focused pilates), this is a useful positive signal. One recent member put it this way: "Cat was so friendly and encouraging when I arrived, I soon got familiar with the equipment and five months later I’m absolutely hooked." — Ashley Ritchie.
