I have been going to Bondi ever since beginning of 2024 and it’s one of the best decisions I have ever made! Being afraid of group exercise classes in the past and loving going to the gym I was apprehensive in trying something but I have not looked back. All the trainers but especially Steph, Chloe and Alice have been amazing! They are welcoming, supportive and knowledgeable and make classes fun yet challenging! Everything is scalable so suitable for beginners or those who have not tried Pilates before. Stretch and flow specifically has also helped my gym training and mobility and reduced the pain and tension in my back from a desk job. Cannot recommend Bondi highly enough.
160 classes at Bondi and still loving it! I’ve seen real results in my strength, tone, and posture since starting back in February 2024. The instructors are fantastic: they really know how to push you to do your best, but in a way that feels encouraging, never competitive. Every session leaves me feeling stronger, more focused, and proud of what I’ve achieved. You almost feel taller leaving class It’s such a positive, welcoming place.

Reformer pilates is performed on a specialised piece of equipment using adjustable spring resistance. It targets deeper stabilising muscles than mat-based pilates and is widely used for posture correction, core strength, injury rehabilitation and pre/postnatal training.
Mat pilates uses your bodyweight on a padded mat, often with small props like resistance bands, blocks and pilates balls. It's the most accessible form of pilates — no heavy equipment, lower price points, and easier to continue at home.

Honest, specific answers about this studio.
every recent review mention the instructors in positive terms — words such as "knowledgeable", "attentive" and "encouraging" recur most frequently. Members citing specific cues, form corrections or named instructors is a strong sign of relationship-led teaching rather than transactional class delivery. If instructor depth matters for your decision (particularly for clinical or prenatal-focused pilates), this is a useful positive signal. One recent member put it this way: "The instructors are amazing, attentive, helpful and extremely welcoming." — Anna Forsythe.
Yes — the studio runs both pre-work classes (6am or earlier most days) and evening sessions running past 8pm, which together cover the standard 9-to-6 working day. Saturday and Sunday slots add weekend flexibility. For peak slots (07:00 and 18:00-19:30 are the busiest across most UK boutiques), most members book the week ahead.
Most UK boutique reformers start newcomers with a beginner-tagged class or a 1-1 intro session rather than dropping them into a mixed-level group. Arrive 10-15 minutes early; you'll be shown carriage adjustment, spring tension and basic safety. Wear grip socks (mandatory at most studios — they sell pairs for £8-15 if you don't have them) and form-fitting clothing that lets the instructor see your alignment. The first class is the steepest learning curve — by your third session, the equipment feels much more intuitive.
