Started back at Pilates after a very long break. Jayne was incredibly welcoming and very keen to make sure that I was comfortable with the moves and the approach she takes. Highly recommend her classes to anyone, whether or not you are new to Pilates or someone who has experience but looking for a fresh approach and a lovely friendly environment
Jayne runs a friendly and fun fitness group. Always felt welcome. Enjoyed the variety of lessons and found them pitched at the right level - easy to push hard or just take it easy if you had had a hard day!
Pegs Pilates offers 2 pilates disciplines. Each one is suited to different goals — read the breakdown below to see which fits.
Reformer pilates is performed on a specialised piece of equipment using adjustable spring resistance. It targets deeper stabilising muscles than mat-based pilates and is widely used for posture correction, core strength, injury rehabilitation and pre/postnatal training.
Mat pilates uses your bodyweight on a padded mat, often with small props like resistance bands, blocks and pilates balls. It's the most accessible form of pilates — no heavy equipment, lower price points, and easier to continue at home.

Members citing specific cues, form corrections or named instructors is a strong sign of relationship-led teaching rather than transactional class delivery. If instructor depth matters for your decision (particularly for clinical or prenatal-focused pilates), this is a useful positive signal.
