Great reformers class with great trainers! Highly recommend them
Nice place, but it’s more ‘gym Pilates’ than classical reformer Pilates i.e. exercises are more like those you can do at home with sliders or weights. The classes don’t really focus on things like postural/spinal alignment or breathing techniques, though this does depend on the instructors as some are obviously more trained in classical Pilates than others. Overall, it’s not bad if you are looking for some kind of resistance workout, but don’t expect to get a classical reformer Pilates experience.
Zero Gravity Pilates offers 2 pilates disciplines. Each one is suited to different goals — read the breakdown below to see which fits.
Reformer pilates is performed on a specialised piece of equipment using adjustable spring resistance. It targets deeper stabilising muscles than mat-based pilates and is widely used for posture correction, core strength, injury rehabilitation and pre/postnatal training.
Mat pilates uses your bodyweight on a padded mat, often with small props like resistance bands, blocks and pilates balls. It's the most accessible form of pilates — no heavy equipment, lower price points, and easier to continue at home.
