I’ve been coming to 121 Urban Hot Yoga for over a year now. It really helps me clear my head and it’s great for my arthritis. I love the friendly teachers and and the fact the yoga sessions are accessible to everyone. I’ve had hip replacements since my early 30’s and the teacher often gives me slightly different moves for the ones that aren’t available to me, which makes me feel really included. I always leave my classes feeling amazing. I would really recommend hot yoga to anyone. I’ve also had the pleasure of speaking to the owner and she has provided amazing customer service to me.
Had my first class at 1-2-1 today and I thoroughly enjoyed it! The person on reception was super friendly and knew who I was as I was a new face - such a nice welcome. The instructor for this morning, Dawn, was fantastic and took us through a delicious vinyassa flow with a perfect warm up to begin, easing my way into the class. The hot yoga studio is large and with good amount of space between people. Changing rooms are decent size with free lockers, showers and complimentary bodywash. Do remember to take your own mat and blocks as due to Covid, they no longer rent these out. It's reasonably priced too and they have great deals on at the moment. I will definitely be back and left feeling fantastic!
Urban Hot Yoga & Reformer Pilates Hornchurch offers 2 pilates disciplines. Each one is suited to different goals — read the breakdown below to see which fits.
Reformer pilates is performed on a specialised piece of equipment using adjustable spring resistance. It targets deeper stabilising muscles than mat-based pilates and is widely used for posture correction, core strength, injury rehabilitation and pre/postnatal training.
Mat pilates uses your bodyweight on a padded mat, often with small props like resistance bands, blocks and pilates balls. It's the most accessible form of pilates — no heavy equipment, lower price points, and easier to continue at home.

Honest, specific answers about this studio.
one of the 3 recent reviews mention value or price positively — "worth every penny", "great value" and "well worth" being recurring terms. Most UK pilates members find that 1-class-per-week practice plateaus quickly; the bigger value driver is committing to 2-3 weekly sessions through a class pack or membership, where per-session cost drops 15-25%. One recent member put it this way: "It's reasonably priced too and they have great deals on at the moment." — Charlene Mary Ryan.
Yes — at least one weekday class runs until 20:00 or later, which suits members training after a standard working day. Evening peaks at most UK pilates studios run from 18:00 to 19:30, with later 20:00-21:00 slots usually quieter and easier to book on the day.
Most UK boutique reformers start newcomers with a beginner-tagged class or a 1-1 intro session rather than dropping them into a mixed-level group. Arrive 10-15 minutes early; you'll be shown carriage adjustment, spring tension and basic safety. Wear grip socks (mandatory at most studios — they sell pairs for £8-15 if you don't have them) and form-fitting clothing that lets the instructor see your alignment. The first class is the steepest learning curve — by your third session, the equipment feels much more intuitive.
