Excellent new studio in central Lewisham set up by a local resident. I signed up with a founder membership as I knew this was going to be special. I’m so glad I did. 2 modern clean, spacious, well equipped studio rooms and a lovely warm welcome on arrival too. I’ve only done the intermediate reformer so far, pleased with the teaching quality, looking forward to trying Barre next!
I joined innerform in November and it has genuinely been the best experience. The classes are soooo good. Adam’s barre is amazing and challenging but makes you feel rewarded after. Sowmya and Lexi both have such fantastic reformer classes that challenge and motivate me every time - both are such good teachers who have helped me develop massively. Innerform also have a fantastic run club, which just adds to the overall community feel. From the moment I first walked into the studio, Anna and Ben greeted me with such warm, friendly energy that I immediately felt welcome. Since then, it’s become so much more than just a place to work out, it’s a community where I’ve met so many lovely new people. I honestly couldn’t recommend a better reformer studio.
Innerform Pilates offers 2 pilates disciplines. Each one is suited to different goals — read the breakdown below to see which fits.
Reformer pilates is performed on a specialised piece of equipment using adjustable spring resistance. It targets deeper stabilising muscles than mat-based pilates and is widely used for posture correction, core strength, injury rehabilitation and pre/postnatal training.
Mat pilates uses your bodyweight on a padded mat, often with small props like resistance bands, blocks and pilates balls. It's the most accessible form of pilates — no heavy equipment, lower price points, and easier to continue at home.

As a general guide across UK boutique reformer studios: newcomers are usually pointed to a beginner-tagged class or a 1-1 introduction rather than a mixed-level group, arriving 10-15 minutes early is normal, and grip socks are widely required (some studios sell them for £8-15).
