Brilliant class! Really calm but strong & a proper workout which I don’t always get from reformer. The teacher Kasia was lovely and informative. Great energy in the session, highly recommend :)

I've been coming to this studio since last summer, and I can't praise them enough for their patience, attention to detail and care. I especially want to thank Kasia and Amelia who always take a moment to check in with me, and offer modifications to ensure I'm always comfortable performing the movements!

Flowing Body Pilates offers 2 pilates disciplines. Each one is suited to different goals — read the breakdown below to see which fits.
Reformer pilates is performed on a specialised piece of equipment using adjustable spring resistance. It targets deeper stabilising muscles than mat-based pilates and is widely used for posture correction, core strength, injury rehabilitation and pre/postnatal training.
Mat pilates uses your bodyweight on a padded mat, often with small props like resistance bands, blocks and pilates balls. It's the most accessible form of pilates — no heavy equipment, lower price points, and easier to continue at home.

Honest, specific answers about this studio.
one of the 3 recent reviews mention visible progress — improved posture, reduced back pain, increased core strength and better movement awareness are the most common outcomes cited. Pilates rewards consistency over intensity; the language pattern across these reviews suggests members are tracking real change over weeks rather than expecting quick aesthetic results. Most credit 2-3× weekly attendance over 6-12 weeks for noticeable shifts. One recent member put it this way: "Having never done reformer Pilates before I now feel stronger and more flexible after only a few sessions!" — Emma Williamson.
Yes — at least one weekday class runs until 20:00 or later, which suits members training after a standard working day. Evening peaks at most UK pilates studios run from 18:00 to 19:30, with later 20:00-21:00 slots usually quieter and easier to book on the day.
Most UK boutique reformers start newcomers with a beginner-tagged class or a 1-1 intro session rather than dropping them into a mixed-level group. Arrive 10-15 minutes early; you'll be shown carriage adjustment, spring tension and basic safety. Wear grip socks (mandatory at most studios — they sell pairs for £8-15 if you don't have them) and form-fitting clothing that lets the instructor see your alignment. The first class is the steepest learning curve — by your third session, the equipment feels much more intuitive.
