I lived in central london for all my life and was spoiled for choices when it comes to fitness and wellbeing. However, Gemma is another level, she is brilliant. Gem is incredible. Her sessions are so enjoyable and a highlight of my week. I would consider myself a total beginner when it comes to Pilates. I had done some reformer sessions before but they were more hiit as opposed to connecting with my core. I actually ended up injuring myself this way. I’ve attended 12 sessions so far and I feel much more connected and my strength is building each time. I particularly enjoy learning about the roots of contrology and the physiology of the movements. This is Gem’s genius and she explains things clearly. She offers attention to anyone who needs it during the class and is always there to answer questions and offer suggestions to tailor your experience. When I first walked into the studio I was totally overwhelmed by all the equipment & was barely able to lift off the mat! But after just a few sessions I am feeling much more confident with the moves and various bits of equipment. Again this is because Gem explains things so clearly and patiently. I’ve also enjoyed meeting everyone who goes to the classes. They are small and intimate sessions and I’m yet to meet someone I wouldn’t want to get to know more! Such a lovely community. I’m really looking forward to what the next 20 sessions will do for my mind and body. Highly recommend! X
