I love Vicky’s classes they are a highlight of my week. They are challenging, yet somehow also relaxing and good fun.
I've been attending Vicky's classes for several months and they are really enjoyable, fun and highly effective. There is always a mix of age and abilities so it's never intimidating or beyond my capability. If you are thinking of trying Pilates I definitely recommend her classes.
I’ve been going to Vicky’s Wednesday classes now for a couple of months, around 10 sessions. I’m a Pilates newbie, and was recommended to Vicky’s class by a mutual friend and Pilates-goer. Vicky is an amazing instructor. Whether you’re new or experienced, her classes are so universal, so friendly and welcoming. Vicky is very knowledgeable, she takes the time to explain what you’re doing and why you’re doing it, what benefit it has for you. She checks that you are performing moves correctly so you are feeling the full intended benefit. Classes are always jam packed and the vibe is brilliant! It’s super value for money, and I can highly recommend! So whether you’re new to Pilates like me or a seasoned professional, Vicky Blanco is the Pilates instructor you need! 🧘♂️🏃 🙆♂️
Pilates with Vicky Blanco offers 2 pilates disciplines. Each one is suited to different goals — read the breakdown below to see which fits.
Reformer pilates is performed on a specialised piece of equipment using adjustable spring resistance. It targets deeper stabilising muscles than mat-based pilates and is widely used for posture correction, core strength, injury rehabilitation and pre/postnatal training.
Mat pilates uses your bodyweight on a padded mat, often with small props like resistance bands, blocks and pilates balls. It's the most accessible form of pilates — no heavy equipment, lower price points, and easier to continue at home.

Honest, specific answers about this studio.
one of the 3 recent reviews mention the instructors in positive terms — words such as "knowledgeable", "attentive" and "encouraging" recur most frequently. Members citing specific cues, form corrections or named instructors is a strong sign of relationship-led teaching rather than transactional class delivery. If instructor depth matters for your decision (particularly for clinical or prenatal-focused pilates), this is a useful positive signal. One recent member put it this way: "Vicky is very knowledgeable, she takes the time to explain what you’re doing and why you’re doing it, what benefit it has for you." — John Austin.
2 of 3 recent reviews mention atmosphere in less positive terms — "cold", "intimidating" or "cliquey" being the recurring descriptors. This is worth weighting if you're a complete beginner and prone to feeling out of place; consider booking a quieter midweek 10-12am class rather than a peak 6pm session for your first visit, which is the standard pattern that smooths out the experience.
