I tried out the mummy and baby class with Andrea for the first time last week. I am 3 months postpartum and I was really nervous to go. Andrea made the whole class fun and enjoyable. She was very helpful by making sure my body was in the correct position and lent me her tripod so I could film myself in the class😊 I also tried the level 1 class with Ollie. I felt so good after the sessions and I was shaking so much afterwards! I can’t wait to build up strength. Thank you I will be back for more classes 🥰
Absolutely gorgeous aesthetic and amazing reformer Pilates class! Had the best time and will definitely be going to more classes! Would highly recommend to a friend
Elite Lux Reformer Pilates offers 2 pilates disciplines. Each one is suited to different goals — read the breakdown below to see which fits.
Reformer pilates is performed on a specialised piece of equipment using adjustable spring resistance. It targets deeper stabilising muscles than mat-based pilates and is widely used for posture correction, core strength, injury rehabilitation and pre/postnatal training.
Mat pilates uses your bodyweight on a padded mat, often with small props like resistance bands, blocks and pilates balls. It's the most accessible form of pilates — no heavy equipment, lower price points, and easier to continue at home.

Honest, specific answers about this studio.
one of the 3 recent reviews mention prenatal or postnatal pilates contexts. For pregnancy practice, ask whether the lead instructor holds APPI Pre/Postnatal Pilates or Body Control Pilates Maternal certification — these are the two main UK qualification pathways for safe trimester-aware programming. GP or midwife clearance is typically required from 12-14 weeks; reputable studios will ask about it before booking your first session. One recent member put it this way: "I am 3 months postpartum and I was really nervous to go." — Paige Azzopardi.
Google lists the studio as open before 7am on at least one weekday and until 8pm or later on another, which usually suits a 9-to-6 working day. Weekend opening is listed too. Opening hours are not the same as the class timetable — check the studio's own schedule before planning around a specific slot. Across UK boutiques, 07:00 and 18:00-19:30 are the busiest times.
Practice varies by studio, so confirm the format when you get in touch. As a general guide across UK boutique reformer studios: newcomers are usually pointed to a beginner-tagged class or a 1-1 introduction rather than a mixed-level group, arriving 10-15 minutes early is normal, and grip socks are widely required (some studios sell them for £8-15). Form-fitting clothing lets the instructor see your alignment. The first class is the steepest learning curve — by the third session the equipment feels far more intuitive.
