Amanda is an absolutely fantastic teacher. I have been with her for three years and started as a complete novice. She goes at your pace and level with just a little nudge when you need it xx
What makes this class spilates class stand out is how the Amanda takes the time to truly understand each person’s unique abilities and limitations. From the very first session, I felt seen as an individual, with exercises adapted to my level without ever feeling left behind. But what’s even better is the way we are continuously encouraged and pushed to do just a bit more than I thought possible. The atmosphere is supportive—there’s always a gentle nudge to challenge myself, whether it’s holding a pose a little longer or adding a new movement. I never feel pressured, but I always know I’m progressing. Every class strikes the perfect balance: I feel cared for, motivated, and stronger week after week. If you’re looking for a Pilates program that respects your individuality while pushing you to reach your potential, I can’t recommend this one enough!
Amanda Watt Pilates offers 2 pilates disciplines. Each one is suited to different goals — read the breakdown below to see which fits.
Reformer pilates is performed on a specialised piece of equipment using adjustable spring resistance. It targets deeper stabilising muscles than mat-based pilates and is widely used for posture correction, core strength, injury rehabilitation and pre/postnatal training.
Mat pilates uses your bodyweight on a padded mat, often with small props like resistance bands, blocks and pilates balls. It's the most accessible form of pilates — no heavy equipment, lower price points, and easier to continue at home.

one of the 3 recent reviews mention the instructors in positive terms — words such as "knowledgeable", "attentive" and "encouraging" recur most frequently. Members citing specific cues, form corrections or named instructors is a strong sign of relationship-led teaching rather than transactional class delivery. If instructor depth matters for your decision (particularly for clinical or prenatal-focused pilates), this is a useful positive signal.
