II can not recommend Bea Alexander Pilates highly enough. I have been a student of Bea's for well over a decade. Pilates was recommended to me by a physiotherapist who was treating me for a running injury. She believed that a strong core, developed through Pilates, was essential to prevent injury. Since finding Bea and her team, I have not looked back. I started out by attending one Pilates session a week but several years ago I added Gill's Yoga/Pilates Fusion class. Pilates has made a profound difference to how my body moves and feels. Pilates has given my greater understanding of my body and why it is important is to take the time to work on both my strength and flexibility. It is no exaggeration to say that Bea Alexander Pilates has been life transforming. Bea, Gill, and Katy are all knowledgeable and highly experienced instructors yet, what is so crucial to their teaching is that they genuinely care about their students. Bea takes the time to explain how our bodies work and why a particular move is beneficial. During class, alternative positions are offered for those of us who may been injured or have other issues with their bodies. I look forward to my weekly classes as an important way of maintaining my overall health.
